Responsibilities
- Perform routine radiographic procedures in accordance with safety and quality standards.
- Process radiographic films and verify technical and demographic information.
- Maintain quality and complete procedures within established time frames.
- Assess patient condition and administer first aid as needed.
- Provide radiation protection according to prescribed safety standards.
- Collaborate with management to recommend improvements and report issues.
- Monitor and replenish supplies in assigned work areas.
- Assist in clinical education of students and orientation of new staff.
- Perform additional duties including billing, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain current licenses, certifications, and participate in required educational activities.
Education
- Successful completion of a two-year radiological technology program accredited by AMA.
- Current ARRT certification in diagnostic radiography.
- Current State of Maryland radiologic technologist licensure.
- Current BLS CPR certification from American Heart Association.
