High School PE & Health Teacher

The Lansing School District serves over 10,000 PreK-12 students across 25 school buildings in the increasingly diverse urban community of Lansing, MI. In pursuit of this mission, we are hiring a Health & PE Teacher for Everett High School. This individual will ensure our 9th-12th grade students receive world-class Health & PE instruction and experience throughout their time in the District. Our teachers must also work to build safe, nurturing classrooms where students can be themselves and work collaboratively towards common learning goals. Teachers will work alongside other teachers, parents, and students to ensure they are providing the best education experience to all students.

• Bachelor's degree in physical education or related field
• Alignment with Lansing School District's mission and values

• Valid Michigan Teacher Certificate with Health & PE endorsement (will be required to enroll in program if don't currently possess)
• Previous successful teaching experience in urban setting

• Demonstrate passion for and expertise of Health & PE
• Provide world-class instruction in Health & PE
• Use data to guide and effectively differentiate instruction
• Learn and grow by incorporating feedback from school leaders, colleagues, students, and professional development sessions
• Build relationships with students and parents to ensure a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
• Other duties as assigned to best support the Lansing School District mission
