Localization Producer (6-month FTC)

Keywords is an international technical services provider to the global games industry. Established in 1998 in Dublin and now with operations in 13 studios across 10 countries, it provides integrated services for localization, testing, audio, art creation and customer support in over 40 languages and 12 game platforms to the world’s largest games publishers and developers. 

We are looking for a Localization Producer to support the end-to-end localization process of selected game titles. This role is key to delivering smooth localization workflows and consistent player experiences across multiple languages. 

This role is in-house at our client’s studio in Santa Monica, L.A. 
We’re offering an exciting 6-month fixed-term contract, with strong potential for extension based on the success of the project.

The Localization Producer will work on selected games and support the following tasks:  

Support localization readiness and quality at source, including but not limited to: 

• Participate in studio meetings from the early planning phase to build in-depth knowledge of the specific game and influence quality at the source. 
• Play early game builds to understand the title and proactively identify localization challenges. 
• Review design specs, proofread source strings, and provide feedback on localizability and dev comments.  

Provide information to the team, including but not limited to: 

• Provide game development plan and changes of the plans to the Services team. 
• Provide relevant game information to prepare localization assets, including translation guide, glossaries, and additional reference materials.    
• Respond to translator queries and escalate any unanswered queries to Studio. 

Support for timely issue resolution, including but not limited to: 

• Track critical core bugs affecting international user experience and influence stakeholders for timely resolution.   
• Monitor the localization progress and report risks and issues to both Studio and Service teams, driving alignment across stakeholders and timely resolution. 

Support Service team’s operation and release coordination, including but not limited to: 

• Support the team from pre-production to release by providing timely information, confirming the changes in loc schedule and work sequences, tracking localization progress, and promptly flagging any issues. 

• Experience in game production and localization management, including addressing localizability issues and localization challenges. 
• Strong familiarity with different game genres, mechanics, and player experiences. 
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders in game development context.
