Events Manager - North America

Who we are

Kentik is the network intelligence platform for modern infrastructure teams. Unlike traditional monitoring and observability tools, we demystify complex network operations, enabling organizations to deliver applications and innovation at scale. Built by network experts to make critical insight accessible to every engineer, Kentik is the real-time source of truth that understands every network in context — from data center to cloud to the internet. This single platform unifies and correlates cloud, device, flow, synthetic data to turn telemetry into action. Market leaders like Akamai, Booking.com, Dropbox, and Zoom rely on Kentik to run, manage, and optimize their networks.

What we do

If you’ve focused your career on event marketing and have a passion for creating exceptional experiences that drive brand awareness and pipeline impact, we want you on our team! As our Events Manager for North America, you will own the strategy, planning, and execution of a wide range of in-person events across the region (U.S., Canada, and Mexico). You’ll collaborate closely with marketing, sales, and executive stakeholders to define event goals, develop impactful event strategies, manage execution end-to-end, and measure outcomes that drive real business value. We’re a fast-moving team that values creativity, precision, and meaningful connections with our audience - and we have a lot of fun doing it.

What you'll do

  • Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, and execution of in-person events, including major industry conferences, field and partner events, executive forums, and roadshows.
  • Align event strategy with company objectives by partnering with cross-functional teams (sales, product marketing, execs, and partners) to define event goals, KPIs, and success metrics.
  • Execute all logistical aspects of event production including venue/booth selection, contract negotiation, vendor sourcing, A/V, catering, reservations, swag orders, signage, shipping, and on-site management.
  • Oversee the North America event budgets with accountability for planning, forecasting, expense tracking, and ROI reporting
  • Lead cross-functional planning, ensuring alignment on event messaging and content, promotions, speaking sessions, booth presence, staffing, demos, and post-event follow-up.
  • Drive pre-event marketing and sales outreach in partnership with marketing ops, creative, sales, executives, and other key event stakeholders. Manage the development of promotional materials including emails, social posts, as well as sales outbound sequences.
  • Ensure flawless execution of post-event leads follow up, including data cleansing, timely upload of leads and notes into Salesforce, tracking lead status and progression, and providing regular updates on event impact.
  • Continuously improve processes, ensuring event workflows are standardized (whenever possible), documented, and communicated across impacted teams; propose and implement process improvements to drive scale and efficiency.
  • Maintain a pulse on event trends and best practices, continuously evolving Kentik’s event strategy to increase impact.

What you'll bring

Studies have shown that some candidates tend to apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We encourage you to apply if you meet most of the criteria - even if you don’t match all of the qualifications, your skills and experience could be valuable in this role!

  • 5+ years of experience managing B2B events in a high-growth, SaaS or tech-driven environment
  • Proven track record of planning and delivering successful event programs with measurable pipeline and brand impact
  • Deep experience with large-scale trade shows, partner events, and regional field activations
  • Excellent project management skills, including vendor and stakeholder coordination across multiple simultaneous events
  • Strong operational mindset with a track record of improving event processes, workflows, and documentation.
  • Skilled in budget management, contract negotiation, and vendor sourcing
  • Outstanding communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Experience with Salesforce, Marketo, Sendoso, Asana, Apollo
  • Comfortable collaborating at all levels of the organization, including executives and sales leaders
  • High attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
