Azure Cloud Infrastructure and DevSecOps Engineer

Job Title: Azure Cloud Infrastructure and DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Denver, CO

Do you love technology and helping organizations utilize that technology to become greater than they thought possible? Are you interested in serving your community and doing your part to keep your community, nation, and planet safe? At Kaseware you will have the chance to do all of that and so much more as our Azure Cloud Infrastructure and DevSecOps Engineer. Kaseware is a company that is changing the world of law enforcement and corporate security forever and, if you are up for a challenge, we would like you to consider helping us make the world a safer place.

We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking Azure Cloud Infrastructure and DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role goes beyond traditional infrastructure management—it's about driving digital transformation through modern cloud practices. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure services and cloud architecture, with a strong focus on DevSecOps principles, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and automated deployment pipelines to enable scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.

A key part of the role involves cost optimization and governance, ensuring our Azure environments are efficient, sustainable, and aligned with business priorities. In a fast-evolving technology landscape, we value a mindset of constant learning and adaptability, as staying ahead of innovation is critical to our success. This role will also lead the adoption of modern engineering practices such as GitOps, Zero Trust, and self-service platform enablement, helping instill a strong DevSecOps culture across the organization.

Job Type: Full-time, exempt

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design and Implementation: Develop and implement Azure infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements and align with industry best practices. Incorporate DevSecOps principles across environments for Development, Test, and Production workloads.
  • DevSecOps Culture Leadership: Champion a DevSecOps mindset across teams by promoting shared responsibility for security, driving cultural change, and embedding security practices into every stage of the development and deployment lifecycle.
  • Infrastructure as Code & GitOps Practices: Standardize the use of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform. Implement GitOps workflows to ensure consistent, traceable, and auditable deployment of infrastructure changes.
  • Platform Engineering & Self-Service Enablement: Build reusable Azure landing zones, automation templates, and secure cloud environments. Develop self-service capabilities to empower development teams while maintaining security and governance.
  • Automated Deployment & CI/CD Pipelines: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Integrate automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient delivery.
  • Observability & Resilience Engineering: Implement end-to-end monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Apply resilience engineering techniques such as chaos testing and automated failover to build fault-tolerant systems.
  • Zero Trust and Policy-as-Code: Apply Zero Trust architecture principles across Azure services and access controls. Leverage Azure Policy, Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft Entra to enforce compliance and governance through Policy-as-Code.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that all Azure infrastructure solutions comply with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements. Proactively mitigate risks and support pen testing, vulnerability scanning, and incident response readiness.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor system performance, reliability, and cost. Rapidly diagnose and resolve issues across complex, distributed Azure environments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including IT, developers, testers, and operations—to deliver robust cloud infrastructure across multiple subscriptions, tenants, and environments.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including infrastructure designs, configurations, CI/CD workflows, and security controls.

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing Azure infrastructure solutions and core development environments
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Azure services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity management.
  • Experience with Azure Verified Modules
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and best practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
  • Be comfortable with both internal and customer-facing activities and tasks
