Skills
- Experience building data or annotation platforms for large-scale ML workloads
- Proficiency with Python, SQL, and modern data stack tools like Spark, Flink, DuckDB, Polars, Arrow, Kafka, Airflow, and Flyte
- Understanding of ML data quality issues such as class balance, bias, leakage, and adversarial filtering
- Experience managing human-in-the-loop labeling including vendor selection, rubric design, and LLM-assisted automation
- Strong focus on reproducibility and observability including dataset hashing, annotation agreement scoring, and drift detection
- Effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Ingest and transform large multimodal corpora using scalable ETL, normalization, and deduplication pipelines
- Build annotation tools such as web UIs, task queues, consensus engines, and review dashboards for efficient human and vendor labeling
- Design active-learning and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) data loops to highlight high-value samples for review
- Version, audit, and govern datasets with lineage tracking, privacy controls, and automated quality metrics
- Collaborate with training, inference, and safety teams to define data specifications and evaluate dataset health
- Contribute to open-source data and annotation tools and share industry best practices
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or related field
