Member of Technical Staff – Backend
Skills
- Experience building distributed backend systems with Python, Go, Rust or similar languages
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures including Kubernetes, gRPC, Postgres, Redis, Kafka
- Proven ability to own backend services end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments without sacrificing engineering rigor
- Strong communication skills across disciplines
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend systems and APIs supporting production LLM experiences
- Build and maintain high-availability infrastructure for real-time inference and conversation pipelines
- Develop internal platforms such as CI/CD pipelines, service templates, and observability tools
- Collaborate closely with research, product, and frontend teams to iterate on end-user features
- Ensure security, uptime, and latency standards through monitoring, load testing, and incident response
- Participate in on-call rotations to maintain system reliability
