Description

     

We are seeking  an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager with manufacturing, oil/gas or similar industry experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible  for overseeing all aspects of the HR function—including talent management,  employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration—while taking a hands-on role in managing accurate and timely payroll processing. This position requires a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Human Resources:

  • Develop,  implement, and administer HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for hourly, salaried, and professional roles.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers and employees on performance management, disciplinary actions, and career development.
  • Oversee benefits administration and employee wellness programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, EEOC, etc.).
  • Conduct investigations related to employee relations matters and recommend appropriate resolution.
  • Support HRIS maintenance and ensure data integrity.

Payroll:

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multi-state, bi-weekly cycles.
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and taxes.
  • Maintain compliance with all payroll-related tax filings and labor regulations.
  • Partner with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll accounts and provide necessary reporting.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and timekeeping issues.


Requirements

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business  Administration, or related field; HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years of payroll administration experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with Paylocity.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and payroll tax regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paylocity, Workday).
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and  communication skills.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and including phone, video, and in-person meetings
  • Manage communication with candidates throughout the hiring process, ensuring timely updates and a positive experience
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and/or CRM with accurate candidate information
  • Support job postings across internal and external job boards
  • Assist with background checks, reference checks, and other pre-employment processes
  • Prepare and send offer letters and manage candidate onboarding documentation
  • Support employer branding initiatives, career events, and recruitment campaigns as needed
  • Track and report on recruiting metrics and KPIs
