ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Software Application Developer to join our team supporting the Los Alamos National Laboratory! This position is full-time and will be based out of Los Alamos, New Mexico with hybrid flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Support a team responsible for the development of software tools to assist organizations meet mission objectives.

  • Support the development of the new F.O.R.G.E. web application.

  • Adheres to the SCRUM Framework for software development and the SD.

Requirements

  • Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related and 10+ years of relevant experience with software development.

  • Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

  • Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

  • Must have experience working in a SCRUM Development environment.

  • Must be proficient in:

    • C# .NET Development

    • Developing Blazor Web Applications

    • Working with Microsoft SQL

    • Working with Microsoft IIS Web Hosting Environment

    • Entity Framework

    • LINQ

    • Using SignalR for dynamic updates to web applications

    • Single Sign On(SSO) and SAML authentication best practices

    • API Development

    • Securing APIs

    • Unit Testing

    • Azure Dev Ops – Including Pipelines

Desired Skills

  • Highly prefer a DOE "Q" Clearance or DoD "Top Secret" Clearance.

About the Site

The NNSA's Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL), located in Los Alamos, New Mexico, is a design laboratory responsible for the safety and reliability of the nuclear explosives package in nuclear weapons. This lab possesses unique capabilities in neutron scattering, enhanced surveillance, radiography, and plutonium science and engineering (energy.gov).
