ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a ServiceNow Consultant to join our team supporting the Pantex Plant! This position is full-time and will be based out of Amarillo, Texas with hybrid flexibility; this role is anticipated to be short-term (2-3 months) with the possibility of extension.

Responsibilities

• Guide the IT Business Office with configuring/implementing Strategic Portfolio Management Pro to include:

  • portfolio planning and management,

  • project management,

  • project prioritization,

  • lenses,

  • roadmaps,

  • capacity planning, and

  • financial planning.

• Help the IT Business Office with setting up metrics, reporting, dashboards, and roadmaps.

• Assist in creating a resource pool of all IT resources and sub-contractors.

• Assist in creating resource plans on projects.

• Demonstrate how to manage and track KTLO to provide a comprehensive view of resource allocations across all resources in IT.

• Provide expertise and knowledge around making sure adequate user rights have been established for the different roles.

• Complete, create, and/or develop the following deliverables:

  1. Configure Instance of Strategic Portfolio Management Pro (ServiceNow Xanadu version).

  2. Verify that user rights have been correctly established based on user roles.

  3. Create Portfolios based on lenses.

  4. Import IT projects residing in the appropriate portfolios.

  5. Create one roadmap, consisting of multiple projects.

  6. Develop resource plans created for multiple projects.

  7. Create a Capacity Planning view that provides a comprehensive view of capacity, allocations, and utilization of resources.

Requirements

• Education & Years of Experience – Associate's Degree in in a technical field with 2+ years of experience.

• Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.

• Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.

• Must have experience with ServiceNow and certified expertise in a large range of products (CIS over 100).

• Must have implementation experience and overall knowledge of ServiceNow with experience in Xanadu version, specifically in Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)-formerly known as Hybrid Project Management.

• Must have experience with implementing/using Project Management, Portfolio Management, and Resource Capacity Planning across all projects, to include optimizing ways to track and report on KTLO work.

• Must have experience in creating new portfolios, programs, lenses, and roadmaps.

• Must have experience in configuring views, reports, and dashboards - all related to portfolio and project metrics.

About the Site

The NNSA's Pantex Plant, located in Amarillo, Texas, assembles, disassembles, tests, and evaluates nuclear weapons in support of the NNSA stockpile stewardship program while also performing research and development in conventional high explosives and serving as an interim storage site for plutonium pits removed from dismantled weapons (energy.gov).
