Accounting Manager
Skills
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365)
- Familiarity with biotech-specific accounting including R&D accruals and clinical trials
- Ability to manage confidential information professionally
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Effective team player with ability to work in fast-paced environments
Responsibilities
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Oversee accounts payable ensuring timely invoice processing and expense coding
- Prepare and maintain schedules for key accounts such as prepaids, fixed assets, and accrued liabilities
- Support financial statement preparation in accordance with US GAAP
- Implement new processes and improve internal controls documentation
- Coordinate with external auditors for audits
- Mentor junior accounting staff and oversee other accountants
- Perform ad-hoc accounting projects as needed
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
