Senior Technical Operations Analyst

What does a successful Senior Technical Operations Analyst do?

The Senior Technical Operations Analyst will be joining the Financial Institution Group, as part of the Card Services team to ensure seamless operation of production and non-production technology systems. Working in a dynamic environment, they leverage expertise in risk fraud systems and Java development to troubleshoot and resolve issues, implement core fraud processing configurations, and lead 24x7 support for applications. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our services across multiple platforms, contributing to a secure and reliable financial technology environment.

What you will do:

• Provide 24x7 support of production applications on a rotating basis and participate in resolution of escalated incident calls
• Troubleshoot issues within non-production and production multi-tier environments
• Address job scheduling and rules issues impacting timely processing of fraud checks and escalate to AppOps as needed
• Create application monitoring scripts and automate alerts to inform technical teams of problems
• Recommend capacity improvements and enhance existing scripts and utilities in use
• Act as a point of escalation for Risk AppOps, diagnosing and resolving customer-impacting issues
• Review Risk deployment artifacts to ensure completion prior to executing production installs
• Participate in assigned projects representing the Risk AppOps team to communicate status, issues, and delivery

What you will need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in application development and/or production support in Agile and DevOps environments
• 6+ years of experience with Oracle operations and UNIX/Linux Java development support
• Experience with shell scripting, Sed, AWK, python, bash, ruby and with data query language Sql developer, perl/sql
• 6+ years of strong technical experience with Unix/Linux, Apache, and either WebSphere, WebLogic, or Jboss
• 5+ years of experience working in a cloud environment – Azure, AWS
• Knowledge of NoSql database, coherence, couchbase, cassandra, mongoDB
• Experience with automation tools like UIPath, Automation Anywhere, or BluePrism
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or related discipline, and/or equivalent military experience

What would be great to have:

• Experience transitioning teams to an Agile Framework
• Certifications in ITIL production support best practices
• Familiarity with common networking practices
• Analytical problem-solving skills to solve complex problems and independent judgment to identify problems and recommend solutions.

Salary Range

$83,400.00 - $143,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
