Data Analyst III- Financial Reporting

Overview

As a Data Analyst III, this individual will report directly to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to generate valuable insights that drive our business growth. In this role, the analyst will play a crucial part in developing Revenue and KPI reporting. Additionally, the candidate will provide ongoing analysis and recommendations to stakeholders. We are seeking a Data Analyst III to join our growing Data organization and help set up our Risk & Governance Team. Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of Fanatics Betting and Gaming, as well as related products and operations.
• Design and build insightful metric definitions, KPIs, and reporting. 
• Collaboration with other Analysts and Data Engineering teams to find solutions to business problems.
• Define product launch test plans and engineer code changes, shaping accurate reporting metrics.
• Gather and present insights metrics and activities to key stakeholders, becoming a trusted source of intelligence over time. 
• Remain current on technology and trends in data analytics and the sports betting & gaming industry. 
• As a storyteller, be able to translate data analyses into understandable terms to influence a business decision or action.
   

Experience and Skills

• The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, who instills confidence, thinks creatively, and is able to initiate and develop alternative approaches to complex issues, and who has: 
• A minimum of 5 years proven experience in an analytics role. 
• Strong SQL and Python(programming) proficiency (e.g Snowflake, DBT)
• Experienced with building dashboards and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, Looker). 
• Customer obsessed and experience focused; highly outcome-oriented and data-driven; experienced in working in high growth environments. 
• Demonstrated ability to partner closely and communicate with stakeholders, earning trust and prioritizing relationships.
• Ability to learn and teach new technologies, supporting organizational growth.
• Logical and analytical approach to problem solving. Strong organizational and communication skills. 
• Positive and flexible attitude, a willingness to embrace new initiatives. 
• Understanding of sports betting or experience in customer behavior analysis is a significant plus. 
• Must be open to travel for team offsites and events.

The expected salary range for this role is based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role is eligible for the Fanatics Betting and Gaming annual bonus program and an equity award. *Salary range is listed in USD; actual salary will vary based on location. *Salary Range: $100,000 - $155,000 per year (actual salary will be determined in part by a successful candidate’s geographic location). In addition to base salary, bonus, and equity, full-time employees are eligible for Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, paid time off, and other benefits like GymPass, Pet Insurance, Family Care Benefits, and more. We’ll also give you $700 to set up your home office! Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in one of the following states: AL, AZ, GA, IA, IN, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, NE, NH, NC, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VT, VA, WA, WI, WV. Alternatively, we are open to a hybrid role based in Denver, CO.
