System Engineer 5253

DNI is seeking a skilled System Engineer to become part of our team, offering crucial assistance to the U.S. Air Force (USAF) at Langley AFB (Ryan Center) in Hampton, VA. We are in search of a highly driven and proactive individual to support an Air Force Air Operations Center (AOC) customer. The selected candidate will perform a comprehensive array of system engineering services pertaining to IT system enhancements. The candidate will be tasked with:

• Develop and manage project artifacts such as bill of materials, assist in the creation of project schedules, and technical diagrams such as network topologies, hardware/software inventories, or rack elevations in support of project management.

• Support the Change Management business process to include attending Change Review Board (CRB), performing engineering analysis on all change requests, and maintaining configuration managed items.

• Support the Resource Advisor with development of five year spend plan, yearly budget, and purchase requests.

• Support unit leadership with the validation of new customer requirements and engineering of new technical solutions

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Three (3) years of experience in a management role with hands on interaction with external vendors and customers. Proficiency with cloud environments within the last five years or minimum of four (4) years’ demonstrated experience with computer networks or minimum of four (4) years’ demonstrated experience administering endpoint systems (client systems, servers, etc,…) and:

• 3+ years system engineering experience in an IT-related field

• Highly desired: VMware VCP certification

• Highly desired: CCNP certification

• Highly desired: Microsoft Project and Visio experience

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:

• This position requires US citizenship and current TOP SECRET Security Clearance and SCI eligibility. We can work candidates who do not have a TS but must have a SECRET at start of work and be eligible for TS.

• Must possess CompTIA Security + certification.

• This position requires ability to travel as required.
