We’re supercharging the clean economy
Crux is the capital markets platform changing the way clean energy and manufacturing projects are financed in the U.S. Crux’s platform, market intelligence, and expert team help developers and manufacturers unlock financing through all stages of project development and operation.
Our team of 50+ is composed of experts in energy, tax, finance, government, and technology. We have raised $77 million in capital from some of the best investors, including Andreessen Horowitz, Lowercarbon Capital, New System Ventures, Overture, Ardent Venture Partners, QED, Canapi, and others. These funds are joined by strategic investors including Pattern Energy, Clearway Energy, EDF Renewables, Intersect Power, LS Power, Orsted, Hartree Partners, Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, MassMutual Ventures, and OMERS Ventures.
An inflection point in American energy and manufacturing.
Energy demand is growing for the first time in 20 years, driven by surging manufacturing, transportation, electrification, and data centers. Simultaneously, hundreds of billions of dollars are being invested in domestic supply chains for critical minerals and components. Developers and manufacturers will require trillions of dollars in capital to meet growing needs.
Unfortunately, the capital markets supporting this transformation remain opaque, fragmented, and complex. At Crux, we recognized the missing infrastructure: a central capital markets platform designed specifically for the next century of American energy and industry. By connecting counterparties, providing market intelligence, and streamlining transactions, we unlock faster decision making, lower cost of capital, and accelerated investment.
The Role
We are hiring on our Business Operations team. This role is tailored for a problem-solver who blends operational fluency with a tool-savvy mindset—someone who’s excited to identify bottlenecks, automate manual processes, and craft robust internal systems that help Crux scale. You'll start by designing and building infrastructure and process across our new areas of the business including Debt and Investment Products.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role embedded deeply within our commercial teams. You’ll be instrumental in eliminating friction across go-to-market workflows, leveraging tools like HubSpot, Clay, and Zapier, and pushing the envelope on how we use automation and AI to streamline operations, optimize our GTM motion, and enhance customer experience.
We believe that the right hire will help us build stable and scalable service delivery systems that support Crux’s growth while continually optimizing for customer satisfaction. The number one skillset we’re looking for in this role is problem scoping & execution – being able to take ambiguous and complex problem spaces, identify the core issues, prioritize across multiple solutions, and relentlessly drive toward completion.
If you’re energized by a scrappy environment, fast feedback cycles, and the chance to deeply shape how a platform grows from Series B into scale, we want to talk.
What you’ll do
Design and deploy GTM systems: Build automation-driven systems that support structured product workflows and eliminate friction across Debt and other new products and their go-to-market efforts.
Eliminate manual work: Identify high-leverage repetitive tasks – especially in lead qualification, onboarding, internal handoffs, and compliance – and design scrappy, scalable automation to replace them.
Own cross-functional service delivery infra: Build reliable service infrastructure across GTM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Omni, internal systems) that enable sales, marketing, and CS teams to operate with higher precision and less manual intervention.
Experiment and implement quickly: Move fast on scoped MVPs, leverage off-the-shelf tooling creatively, and iterate toward operational excellence.
Use AI to accelerate process design: Champion use of AI-powered tools and workflows to accelerate internal processes and enhance customer-facing systems.
Collaborate with technical & commercial teams: Partner closely with Commercial, Growth, Product, and Engineering to ensure systems are robust, business-aligned, and adopted.
Instrument systems with data & insights: Stand up analytics and reporting systems to track performance, surface opportunities, and drive iterative improvement.
Contribute to new product line GTM: Support launch and integration of new product initiatives with a focus on system readiness and efficiency.
Who you are
Executional Excellence: You are highly ownership-driven and solve problems for customers. You likely have 4-6 years of experience in operations, product management, or service design. You may have worked in B2B software, operationally intensive businesses, or industries with complex financial services.
Cross-functional Superstar: You thrive in cross-functional collaboration, helping to build strong connections across departments. You are an empathetic listener, capable of understanding team members' concerns and building trust by delivering results.
Strategic Rigor: You are a strategic thinker with a track record of identifying innovative service delivery solutions. You can communicate complex ideas clearly and focus on both short- and long-term impacts, ensuring that service processes are aligned with broader business goals.
Startup DNA: You are excited to work in a fast-paced startup environment, where you’ll wear multiple hats, experiment frequently, and take ownership of designing, refining, and scaling commercial processes.
Execution-First Systems Thinker: You ship MVPs quickly and iterate to high-quality outcomes. You know when “scrappy” is good enough and when polish matters.
Problem Solver & Prioritizer: You break down ambiguous challenges, identify the core issues, and focus on the highest-leverage opportunities for improvement.
Service Design Mindset: You think deeply about operational flows and how they shape customer experience. You are always looking to remove drag and increase leverage.
AI-Forward Thinker: You bring a creative mindset to using AI tools for system design, internal automation, and smarter decision-making.

Our Values
Care for each other: We want to work on a team where people support each other - in their growth, in their work, and towards our shared mission. When we do that, we have fun.
Build and improve rapidly: The thing we can best control is our pace of learning and pace of execution. We can’t control the market, regulators, or what competitors do. One of the best ways to move rapidly is to focus, and consistently ask ourselves if we are prioritizing the right things and executing them as best as possible.
Focus unremittingly on customers: Developers, manufacturers & their advisors are doing critical work to accelerate renewable energy development. Our obligation is to them first, and we must keep their needs front & center in everything we do.
Demonstrate ownership: We are all owners of Crux. This is our team, our company, our product and we show that to each other.
Convene a team that reflects the breadth of experiences in the country: We expect everyone to actively help us build a team where people of all backgrounds can thrive. This applies in hiring, people policies, how we interact - and connects closely with caring for each other.
We provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by law.
If an employer mentions a salary or salary range on their job, we display it as an "Employer Estimate". If a job has no salary data, Rise displays an estimate if available.
