Manager, SEC Reporting

Job Description

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manager, SEC Reporting, to lead the preparation and submission of SEC filings and ensure compliance with all applicable financial reporting regulations. This role will be critical in supporting the company’s external reporting obligations and assisting with technical accounting matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and other required disclosures.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external auditors to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain and improve documentation of reporting processes, controls, and compliance with SOX requirements.
  • Assist with technical accounting areas during monthly close process (e.g., revenue recognition, stock-based compensation, leases).
  • Monitor new accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP, SEC rules) and assess their impact on financial statements.
  • Ensures compliance with debt covenants.
  • Support materials for investor calls.
  • Manage and enhance internal controls over financial reporting.
  • Assist with internal management reporting and other ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA required).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in SEC reporting.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with accounting in a public company or within a high-growth organization.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
  • Experience as a people manager.
