Responsibilities will include review, thorough research, and correction activities within Meditech, Epic, or any other designated system. This position will work closely and in collaboration with facility HIM, Patient Access, Physician Offices, and others on matters concerning integrity of the enterprise master patient index. Participation in patient and patient proxy access to the portal will be required.

 

This position is remote. Initially there will be 1-2 weeks of in-office training at the Mineral Building in Centennial Co.

Qualifications

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • 1 year of health information management , patient access, or billing experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with the electronic health record (EHR) and health information systems and applications.
  • Effective communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Attentive to details.
  • Knowledge in health care compliance, HIPAA privacy and confidentiality laws.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Associate or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Training in medical terminology preferred.
  • Prefer AHIMA credential – RHIA, RHIT

Schedule: Day, training 8-4:30pm; after 8 hours may be between 6am-6pm consistent schedule Monday-Friday

 

Physical Requirements- Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
