4 Sutherland is a 23 bed Medical/Surgical unit that is passionate about the care of cardiac patients. Our patients can be infants to early adults.
4 Sutherland collaborates with the Blue Team, CHAMP, Heart Failure, Heart Transplant, Electrophysiology, CICU and CV Surgery to manage the following primary diagnoses:
4 Sutherland also provides care to patients from general pediatrics and other specialties during times of low cardiac patient volumes.
Registered nurses provide illness management and health promotion for patients and families who require care. Registered staff nurses utilize the nursing process and knowledge of scientific principles to provide safe, high quality, comprehensive, and age appropriate nursing care for their assigned patients. Registered staff nurses provide patient and family education and advocate for their needs. Registered nurses coordinate patient care with nonprofessional personnel as necessary.

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $30.50/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
