Cleveland Clinic is seeking a confident, agile and experienced leader to serve as Quality Director II for the Transplant Center at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. This is a highly visible and very important role, with the responsibility of leading quality, improvement, monitoring and regulatory compliance for our transplant team.
The Quality Director II directs overall hospital quality management and monitoring coordinates and implements Quality and Patient Safety initiatives to ensure operational alignment with hospital/institute and organizational objectives. Additionally, this leader acts as a member of the local leadership team and supports unique challenges and coordinates with nursing, care management, medical staff and others as appropriate to ensure compliance with all standards and favorable performance on quality, utilization and experience metrics.
A caregiver in this role works Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. -- 5 p.m.
This is a hybrid role, with on-site days at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus and occasional travel required.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Collaborate with leadership and support teams to develop and maintain an integrated quality plan to achieve quality, safety and patient experience goals.
Incorporate enterprise priorities and regulatory requirements and benchmarks.
Communicate priorities to stakeholders at all levels.
Drive continuous improvement activity around quality, safety and patient experience priorities and coordinate improvement projects.
Measure and analyze data reflecting processes and outcomes prioritized by Hospital and the Enterprise Quality Leadership Team. Act as the local expert in quality performance for the hospital.
Facilitate dashboard reviews, data analysis and decision-making from data. Identify and address root causes to lead to sustainable improvement.
Act as a champion for continuous improvement, utilizing the Cleveland Clinic Improvement Model. Coach others to improve organizational capacity for improvement.
Manage the budget for the local quality department as a steward of limited resources.
Support enterprise improvement projects as necessary.
Develop relationships with skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, and other groups that support the patients served by the hospital.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business, engineering or related field
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) within one year of hire
Five years of experience in process improvement quality management or related field
Progressive quality and performance improvement, research, leadership, supervision or project team management
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Master's degree
In-depth knowledge of hospital accreditation and current trends in Quality Management
Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS)
Transplant quality experience, with a baseline understanding of transplant regulatory reporting environment
