We offer a uniquely powerful platform, enabling lawyers (as one example) to draft a full 30‑page legal brief in ~10 minutes—saving about a week of effort. We're looking for a Head of Engineering who....
- Leads by example—still codes daily, reviews PRs, unblocks gnarly bugs.
- Has a deep understanding of cutting-edge generative AI algorithms, techniques, and architectures.
- Makes ruthless trade-offs between speed, robustness, and cost, always prioritizing user impact.
- Designs lightweight processes (CI/CD, automated testing, release gating) that accelerate shipping.
- Can guide 8-12 engineers through rapid iterations alongside our legal-SME product leads.
- Helps strategize & lead on roadmap, tech choices, and SOC 2 Type II compliance.
- Communicates crisply with founders, PMs, design, and GTM to keep everyone rowing one direction.
What We're Looking For
Core Requirements
- 7+ yrs engineering experience, incl. 3+ yrs leading teams in high-growth B2B-SaaS companies.
- Fluency in our stack (React/Next.js, Python/FastAPI, Postgres, Redis, Docker/K8s).
- Proven record of scaling systems to thousands of concurrent users and introducing observability.
- Deep understanding of cutting-edge generative AI algorithms, techniques, and architectures.
- Significant personal use of AI for development (Cursor, Replit, Windsurf, Claude Code, etc.)
- Engineering degree.

- Strong leadership of engineering teams.
- Clear, concise communication—low words : insights ratio.
- Ownership mindset: you do what you say and surface risks early.
- Ability to work well with ambiguity and low amounts of process.
- Excellent problem solving capabilities.
Passion & Dedication
- Genuine excitement for AI and building category‑defining products.
- Fantastic work ethic & ability to take on a very demanding role (similar culture to xAI, Amazon, Figure, etc.).
- Understanding that this will be much more than a 9‑to‑5. The high effort is easy when you love what you do, the company you’re building, and the mission you’re fulfilling.

- Legal or LegalTech experience.
- Strong DevOps skills on Azure (or AWS/GCP with quick ramp‑up).

Location
- US‑based required.

Compensation
- Base Salary: $220,000 - $250,000
