Head of Middle Office Product

Reporting to the Global Head of Sales, the Head of Middle Office (MO) Product will establish the strategy and go-to-market plan for the product offering globally. Work closely with cross-functional teams and/ or 3rd Party Middle Office Provider (s) to deliver an integrated, holistic front-to-back solution.

The ideal candidate will draw from their deep investment management Middle Office experience that is required for this position, incorporate a detailed operating model with specific data management challenges & opportunities and establish best practices with key metrics to measure progress and results. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a product roadmap that aligns with business objectives, prioritizes initiatives, goal setting, and establishes the evaluation criteria to ensure successful delivery.  

  • Responsible for setting sales targets and investment plan for Middle Office product.

  • Working with Relationship Excellence team on go-to-market strategy and execution of sales plan. 

  • Define product metrics, measure performance, and use data to inform product decisions.

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and/ or 3rd Party Middle Office Provider (s) to deliver an integrated, holistic front-to-back solution.

  • Drive product innovation by keeping up to date with industry trends.

  • Work to proactively to understand the client’s needs and objectives, introduce new ways of working, and solicit feedback.

  • Identify existing components within the BBH infrastructure to assist in adding to a MO solution.

  • Collaborate successfully by working closely with clients, consultants and others within the market for review of target operating model, middle office current state and target state.

  • Drive customer focus and empathy, create alignment by bringing groups together, foster their growth while working towards a unified vision.

  • Deliver high-quality products that delight customers and align to their expectations.  

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of ten years’ experience developing and leading a Product segment within an Asset Manager or Service Provider (i.e. Custodian, Index Provider, Exchange, Specialist, etc.)

  • Experience in solutions architecture with a focus on constructing data solutions, engaging and integrating third party capabilities & partners.

  • Possesses curiosity, conviction and courage to ask the hard questions, explores new ideas, and continuously learns and researches to meet goals.

  • Strong communicator and influencer; able to effectively communicate ideas regardless of the audience, able to rally associates to your vision.

  • Possesses a “get-it-done” attitude – can get around roadblocks and stay focused on the vision. Organized, resourceful, and able to prioritize tasks.  

  • Has an interest in constantly learning new tools and technologies and a passion to share their knowledge with the team. 

  • Excellent PowerPoint skills and writing ability.

  • Experienced Project Management / Consulting skills.

  • Professional business acumen: ability to interact in a professional manner at all levels, both internally and externally.

  • Detail oriented with proven ability to see open issues to resolution.

  • Travel is required.
