ICT Assistant Project Manager

We are currently seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our ICT (Information, Communications, & Technology) team. This position supports the installation team.  This team handles structured cabling, supporting ICT infrastructure, terminating cabling, and installing low voltage equipment. The APM will collaborate directly with the Project Manager and Telecommunications Designer to support the daily operations on site while mitigating risk and improving/advancing the ICT strategic initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 0-3 years’ experience in Information/Communications/Technology field; specifically, experience working with low voltage electricity.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration design preferred.
• Experience working with government clients and/or processes preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills. 
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
• Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Ability to work independently and also in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to travel up to 15% domestically.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s systems 

Responsibilities:

• Assists project pursuits by working with all members of the ICT team in the following:

1. Obtaining vendor quotes
2. Obtaining subcontractor proposals
3. Attending pre-proposal site visits (as needed)

• Assists in preparation of purchase orders.
• Assists in preparation of submittals to our customer for approval.
• Assists with pay applications.
• Assists with submitting invoices.
• Assists with certified payroll.
• Assists in following up on sub-contractor payments.
• Assists with scope and schedule changes through a formal change management process.
• Assists with creating project schedules as well as communication with our suppliers, subcontractors, and customers.
• Coordinates and oversees logistics for ICT procurement requirements to include clear communication with suppliers, 3rd party logistics firms, and our internal team to keep projects on time and in budget.
• Monitor and optimize material costs.
• Communicates with internal technician team to make sure they are properly supported (i.e. tools, equipment, materials needed for work week).
• Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
