Senior Propulsion Engineer – Combustion Systems Aerodynamics and Design
Skills
- Experience with modern combustor architectures and design methods
- Proficiency using combustor analysis tools such as Fluent, STAR-CCM+, or OpenFOAM
- Significant meshing and CFD modeling expertise
- CAD proficiency for module integration
- Programming skills in Python or similar languages
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate within a team
Responsibilities
- Lead development and ownership of the Symphony combustion system
- Design, analyze, and test combustor components through various phases
- Guide development programs including bespoke rig testing and engine build demos
- Contribute to toolchain development and integration processes
- Participate broadly in propulsion system integration, fabrication, and testing
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field
