Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Manager to lead a special assignment on Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) in Oklahoma City, OK.  The selected candidate will provide leadership for a multitude of air and space platforms recognized around the world.  This position will lead a customer-focused team providing direct specialty engineering support.

Management responsibilities include mentoring and coaching all levels of engineers to guide knowledge transfer to our next generation of technical leaders and engineers.  Responsibilities also include managing resources and taskings for the daily engineering assignments that deal with Boeing Military Aircraft and Military Derivative Aircraft within the Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers Division. The technical area of focus for engineering assignments will be in systems engineering-focused product development, from requirements architecture and decomposition, to integration, testing, verification and certification of aircraft.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manages employees and mid-level managers performing engineering and technical activities in the area of Systems Engineering.
• Develops and executes integrated organizational plans, policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies, goals, objectives.
• Acquires resources for organizational activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
• Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
• Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Manages, develops and motivates employees and mid-level managers.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering.
• 5+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $165,750 - $224,250

Security Clearance:

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
