A Brief Overview

The Senior Data Analyst at Safelite plays a key role in driving strategic decision-making by enhancing visibility into the company's performance. This position involves collaborating closely with business stakeholders to understand their processes and objectives in order to identify key data opportunities and deliver strategic monitoring, self-service BI tools, BI dashboards, and analyses that support the success and understanding of company initiatives.

What you will do

• Create Tableau dashboards that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders and assist in managing their strategic goals. Offer guidance and documentation to stakeholders, facilitating the effective use and self-service of these assets.
• Transform star schema warehouse data into actionable insights by performing thorough exploratory data analysis focused on key KPIs. Build an understanding of the data underpinnings of key business processes to effectively deliver self-service BI solutions.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and help them shape and refine their requests to ensure the dashboards ultimately built are performant, action-oriented, and broadly impactful.
• Build automated data quality checks to ensure dashboard KPIs, data, and trends are consistent across dashboards and to source system data.
• Provide Training and ongoing support to business stakeholders in the best ways to leverage dashboards within their decision making process.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Analytics or related quantitative field or equivalent Required
• Master's Degree in Statistics, Analytics or related quantitative field Preferred

Experience Qualifications

• 4-6 years relevant experience Required

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis (High Proficiency).
• Advanced proficiency in industry-leading BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms (High Proficiency).
• Experience transforming and analyzing data at all layers of the warehouse (i.e., staging to mart layer) (High Proficiency)
• Familiarity with common KPIs used in the industry, including conversion metrics, order funnels, Net Promoter Score, price elasticity, workforce management, call center KPIs, etc. (Medium Proficiency)
• Ability to apply business acumen to understand stakeholder requests and translate them into actionable data insights. (High Proficiency)
• Demonstrated experience performing complex data analysis and providing guidance to others on the use of analytical tools. (High Proficiency)
• Experience contributing to a BI semantic layer and key data marts using tools like dbt, Cube, and Preset (Med Proficiency)
