We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as Sr. Director Procurement, Supplier Excellence. This role will report directly to the Chief Procurement Officer and will play a pivotal role shaping our Procurement and Supplier Management Strategy. The successful candidate will be accountable for the development and implementation of a company-wide strategy for driving supplier development and achieving supplier performance excellence. This candidate
will build and lead a global team, accountable for identifying and implementing improvement actions at supplier’s manufacturing sites, driving a step level improvement in productivity & capacity, reducing costs and also meeting BD’s quality expectations.
The candidate will collaborate with members of the ISC (Procurement, Operations and Supply Chain), Supplier Quality and the broader WW Business to build cross functional teams to deliver supplier improvement strategies which addressing current and future needs of the Businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Supplier Excellence Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for supplier development and supplier performance across the enterprise and in collaboration with functions and businesses and in alignment with BD Excellence.
▪ Supplier Performance Management: Lead initiatives to enhance supplier capabilities and performance, ensuring they meet our risk, quality, service, cost and innovation requirements through application of lean and six sigma principles. Align with Category Management on supplier management strategy to ensure the principles of category/supplier management are maintained.
▪ Continuous improvement (Kaizen): Develop and execute a structured program to drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) culture at Suppliers. Provide adequate on-site support, coaching & training to enable suppliers to build internal capability in driving continuous improvements.
▪ Supplier Risk Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate current and future risks in the supply chain linked to existing performance gaps. Collaborate with Procurement, Risk and Resiliency teams to ensure mitigation activities are captured.
▪ Total Cost of Ownership and Growth Mindset: Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining/improving standards of quality and service and enabling innovation. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards

▪ Reporting and Measurement: Monitor, evaluate and report supplier performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary with an overall improvement in performance
▪ Leadership and Coaching: Provide leadership and guidance to the Supplier Excellence team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Build capability in the areas of six-sigma and kaizen

5. KSA Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Requirements (indicate the minimum)
Knowledge and Skills ▪ Demonstrated knowledge in areas of supplier development, supplier management and supplier quality including six sigma and lean principles.
▪ Prior experience leading Supplier Management or Supplier Quality
organization / teams including implementing change management initiative such as Supplier Certification Programs
▪ Skilled in process methodologies such as FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, DFMEA,
DOE, Dfx and poke yoke
▪ Proven experience driving large-scale change management across a global
matrix organization.
▪ Demonstrated knowledge of end-to-end supply chain risk and resiliency
strategies
▪ Proven knowledge and experience with Supplier Management.
▪ Strong presentation skills, experience developing and presenting to c-suite
level.
▪ Willingness to take a hands-on approach to solve problems with a bias for
action.
▪ Ability to work across cultures and regions with strong interpersonal skills.
Education/Degree Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Supply Chain, Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical engineering, MBA or equivalent preferred
