Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Controller to join our team in Oregon. This is a full-time, in-office position requiring a seasoned professional to manage and maintain financial records and reports, perform account reconciliations, assist with budgeting and closing processes, and conduct internal audits. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and support leadership with information requests.
Responsibilities
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly close processes.
- Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Conduct internal audits and maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and meet processing and reporting deadlines.
- Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and support administration in the running of payroll.
- Assist leadership as needed.
Essential Skills
- 5-6 years of operational accounting experience with GAAP.
- Proficiency in journal entries and reconciliations.
- Experience with inventory accounting.
- Experience with accounting ERP systems.
- Experience working within organizations of $50 million or more.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPS and pivot tables.
- Exposure to assisting with tax filings.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous managerial experience is preferred but not required.
- Experience in the furniture/appliance or retail industry.
- Experience with VPASS or STORIS ERP systems.
- CPA or MBA qualifications are advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
