The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The USCS team is focused on making membership an indisputable competitive advantage and helping each other become better leaders every day. 

The U.S. Consumer Marketing team (USCM) is part of the US Consumer Services Group and is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering world class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle.

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Sr. Analyst - Non-Optimized Investment Management (Strategic Planning) is responsible for managing and operationalizing the US Consumer Services Operating Expenses (OPEX) across business units, along with strategic planning and all related processes and reporting. In addition, this Analyst often works directly with senior leaders and will develop a broad perspective of Consumer Services, including a deep understanding of the drivers of business results and performance of investment decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Deliver monthly reporting that tracks actual Opex spend vs. budgets
  • Assist in coordination of annual & monthly planning for Opex budgets
  • Provide Opex/Year-end budget management trainings for the USCS organization
  • Manage year-end accrual process in collaboration with Controllership
  • Work closely with FP&A Teams on Opex Risks & Opportunities, auditing monthly calendarization variances
  • Work closely with Manager & Director Assistants across USCS to provide insight to Opex actuals and processes, handle ad hoc requests, and provided detailed expense reporting across the organization.
  • Design and implement strategies to improve processes, reports, and insights
  • Own the centralized OPEX budget management processes for certain teams within U.S. Consumer Services: Responsibility Center management, Purchase Orders/Invoices, expense record-keeping, and related communications across USCS

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2-3+ years professional experience in strategic planning/budget management/similar field a plus
  • Experience with high volume, cross-functional processes
  • Strong analytical skills, with acute attention to detail
  • Very strong aptitude with MS Office Suite: Excel – formulas, pivot tables, macros. Able to work with large amounts of data from different sources to create user-friendly, digestible reporting.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize and proactively communicate progress, needs, issues, etc.
  • Strong sense of responsibility – demonstrates personal excellence and consistently delivers high quality work
  • Excellent communication skills – equally capable working with a peer or a senior leader
  • Project management skills – organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple deliverables and prioritize, communicates proactively re: progress, needs, issues, etc.
  • Excellent relationship building skills – enjoys working as part of a larger team and fostering relationships

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
