Electrical Engineer
AlphaHire is actively seeking an Electrical Engineer or Electrical Design Consultant for a well-established mechanical and electrical consulting firm based in Ohio. This full-time position is ideal for a candidate with at least 3 years of experience in electrical design. The role will begin as an engineer/designer, with a clear growth path toward project management or project engineering responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support electrical design for a range of project types including commercial, retail, healthcare, and office environments
Design systems related to power distribution, grounding, lighting, and controls
Create electrical schematics and collaborate with other disciplines to ensure fully coordinated designs
Perform on-site assessments to verify field conditions
Apply knowledge of current electrical codes and standards to all design efforts
Build effective working relationships with architects, engineers, and product reps
Assist in preparing electrical specifications and documentation
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of electrical design experience
Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Revit is a plus
Familiarity with materials, systems, and components used in building electrical systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Analytical problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work independently when needed
