INTERN AI-DRIVEN INTEGRATION

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated college student pursuing a degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field to join our team for a summer internship. This intern will explore and recommend AI-driven solutions to improve our manufacturing, quoting, scheduling, and overall operational efficiency. You will work directly with our leadership team to identify bottlenecks and propose practical AI applications.
Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze AI applications relevant to precision manufacturing
- Evaluate existing processes (quoting, scheduling, inspection, etc.) for AI integration opportunities
- Prototype or suggest AI tools that could automate or enhance tasks
- Present findings and recommendations to management
- Collaborate with engineers, estimators, and shop floor staff to validate ideas
- Document processes, research findings, and proposed implementations
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program (junior or senior level preferred) in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
- Strong understanding of machine learning, large language models, or industrial AI applications
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Interest in manufacturing and real-world operational efficiency
- Strong communication and presentation abilities
- Familiarity with Python, AI tools, or platforms such as ChatGPT, Copilot, or custom-trained models is a plus
