POSITION: Senior Project Manager – Environmental Due Diligence - Agency Services

LOCATION: Flexible / Remote - Nationwide Travel


POSITION SUMMARY


The Project Manager within AEI’s Agency Due Diligence division will perform various environmental due diligence projects focused on commercial real estate. The ideal candidate will have previous experience performing Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects and Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae ESA projects focused on Agency lenders and Agency investor platforms in the commercial real estate sector, and also has superior customer service, writing, time management, and organizational skills. This position requires extensive weekly travel nationwide. Candidates will have the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the country conducting site visits for Fannie Mae and/or Freddie Mac scope Phase I ESAs.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Conduct site visits and file reviews
  • Interview site personnel
  • Upload site visit photos, documents, research, interviews, etc. to writing platform
  • Environmental reviews
  • State and federal regulatory program file reviews
  • Basic understanding of commercial real estate lending and finance
  • Performance of environmental due diligence projects

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience performing environmental due diligence projects, such as Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) required
  • Previous experience performing Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) projects focused on Agency lenders and Agency investor platforms in the commercial real estate sector
  • Must be willing to travel nationwide on a weekly basis
  • Excellent writing, organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills required
  • Personable and able to communicate with people at all levels
  • Must be a self-starter, resourceful, and have the ability to work productively on multiple projects at a time under strict deadlines with guidance from senior staff

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology, or related field

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

  • Active AHERA certification
  • Current OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification, asbestos inspector, and/or lead-based paint certification and/or Radon certification preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment may be both indoors and outdoors. Indoor work takes place in a typical office setting. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Outdoor work requires the ability to effectively perform work in all types of weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, type, handle office and/or field equipment, speak and hear. The employee may occasionally be required to stand, walk, balance, kneel or crouch. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to focus.
