HR Coordinator

ABM Industries is seeking a Human Resources Coordinator (bilingual Spanish strongly preferred) to support the day-to-day HR operations at San Francisco International Airport (SFO). This role will report directly to the Field HR Director and play a key role in ensuring efficient HR service delivery. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced in supporting both union and non-union environments. This is an Onsite Role (Mon-Fri) at SFO.

 

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate and execute onboarding for all new team members, including scheduling and tracking of the SFO badging process and orientation sessions.
  • Collaborate with managers and supervisors to promote positive team member relations and effective performance management.
  • Administer and enforce company HR policies and procedures in accordance with union requirements and legal standards.
  • Interact with employees daily to answer various questions and support the employee experience
  • Assist with investigations into workplace matters and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Work with the Safety Quality Manager and team to ensure full compliance with all occupational health and safety regulations with new and current team members.
  • Assist HR Site Partner and Operations managers with coaching, counseling, and disciplinary procedures while maintaining documentation and consistency.
  • Track, analyze, and report HR metrics required by SFO and client stakeholders.
  • Monitor training programs for effectiveness and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate team member records, including attendance, leaves of absence and resignations.
  • Support general HR administration tasks, including managing the team member database, processing paperwork, and handling HR inbox inquiries.
  • Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of HR coordination/administrative experience     
  • Small group presentation skills required to lead orientations
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in a unionized environment is a plus.
  • Previous experience in airport operations or badging/onboarding processes is a plus.

 

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong working knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and best practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience handling HRIS systems and payroll exposure is a plus.
  • Ability to analyze and report on HR metrics and compliance-related data.
  • Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week in a dynamic airport environment.

 

Pay: $28.85–$35.10

The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. 

You may be eligible to participate in a Company incentive or bonus program.
