The Web Administrator is tasked with the efficient management and upkeep of the CNN Collection website, ensuring it delivers optimal performance and an exceptional user experience. Additionally, this role provides support to Archival Researcher and Fulfillment Editors, facilitating seamless collaboration and integration within the department.

Your Role Accountabilities…

· CNN Collections Platform Management

· Update and maintain website content, including text, images, and videos

· Ensure that the website is functioning properly, including server setup, security measures, and troubleshoot issues

· Collaborate with web developers and designers to implement website enhancements, updates, and new features as needed

· Implement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to improve website, visibility, and ranking on search engines

· Regularly monitor website performance, conduct audits, and implement necessary improvements to ensure optimal speed, responsiveness, and overall user experience

· Ensure the website complies with legal regulatory and industry standards, including accessibility and privacy requirements

· Efficiently prioritize all incoming research requests applying editorial and rights judgment to ensure the most relevant and accurate information is provided

· Deliver timely authenticated and accurate research results to meet the needs of CNN Collection clients, ensuring high standards of quality and reliability

· Facilitate the timely and accurate delivery of content, ensuring it meets client specifications and quality standards

· Review and edit content for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with editorial guidelines, making necessary adjustments to maintain high-quality standards

· Facilitate the transfer of library materials from analog to digital formats

· Create compilation reels that are featured on the CNN Collection website

Qualifications & Experience…

· The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in field studies and has at least four years experience as a web administrator or similar role

· Certifications in web administration or related fields are a plus

· Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies

· Understanding of networking principles and server configurations

· Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously

· Understanding of website security measures, including SSL certificates, firewalls, and vulnerability scanning

· This includes understanding how AI can be leveraged to enhance workflows and search capability and drive innovation

· Familiar with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to monitor website performance and user behavior
