Description
Responsibilities:
- Conducting field activities including collecting samples of various environmental media (soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, and air)
- Performing complex field tasks, including data measurement and collection, operation, and maintenance of remediation systems, troubleshooting, and construction observation
- Participating in environmental investigation programs including Phase l/ll Environmental Site Assessments
- Evaluating environmental regulations
- Preparing environmental reports including data compilation, reduction, and interpretation
- Preparing and reviewing field notes, drawings, contracts, and specifications in accordance with company standards
- Contractor liaison/oversight for investigation and remedial programs
- Problem-solving using standard engineering / scientific methods
- Preparing invoices and budget tracking
- Coordinating project tasks, implementing fieldwork, participating in remedial design efforts
- Demonstrating effective analytical, interpretive, time, and project management skills
- Communicating effectively to team members; both verbal and written forms of communication
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in environmental engineering, geology, or environmental science
- 2 - 4 years of relevant experience
- Proficient with MS Office Suite of products
- Able to conduct some fieldwork, including lifting 50-80 lbs with or without assistance
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle, and be able to commute to sites
