Skills
- Expertise in dbt including production models, testing, and CI/CD workflows.
- Proficiency in Snowflake with experience in performance tuning, RBAC, and cost management.
- Advanced SQL and Python skills for forecasting, scenario modeling, and statistical analysis frameworks.
- Strong understanding of SaaS unit economics including MRR/ARR, COGS allocation, and cohort retention.
- Experience building usage-based pricing and forecasting models from raw product event data.
- Effective communication of complex data insights to executive stakeholders.
- Familiarity with BI tools such as Looker, Hex, Mode, Tableau, and transformation tools like dbt.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dbt models in Snowflake translating product telemetry into financial metrics like ARR and margin.
- Design Python-driven Monte Carlo and statistical models for revenue and gross margin forecasting under various scenarios.
- Perform variance and root-cause analyses across revenue, costs, and expenses to identify key business drivers.
- Collaborate with Product Monetization to simulate pricing and packaging changes and quantify their impacts.
- Automate and deliver monthly self-serve financial dashboards trusted by Finance, Executive Leadership, and the Board.
- Define data quality and reconciliation SLAs to ensure accuracy and auditability of financial metrics.
- Mentor analysts and engineers on best practices in dbt, Snowflake optimization, and Python analytics.
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
