Job Description

Duties

• Receives various tools and parts. Identifies, stores, issues, repairs and inventories by checking numbers and names of items on incoming stock and matching to receiving reports.
• Repairs or replaces such items as handles, blades, grease and oil, etc. using hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, etc.
• Inventories by tallying incoming stock, reporting overage, shortage, or damaged stock items.
• Marks and tags locations showing names, quantities, and storage methods of stock.

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with Army Regulation 215-3.
• This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
• An employer referred pre-employment physical examination is required.
• Must be willing to accept intermittent, on-call employment.
• Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays, and/or unique events.
• Must be able to work in areas that require you to stand, stoop, bend, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
• Must be able to lift and carry tools, parts, supplies, and equipment weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds using hand trucks, dollies, and help form co-workers for heavier items.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates will possess the following:knowledge of stockroom methods, techniques and procedures, AND
• ability to independently determine the sequences, methods, techniques, and procedures appropriate for accomplishing the assignments, AND
• sufficient knowledge of the range of items in stock to identify specific items requested by users from descriptions of their intended usage, and to suggest, in the absence of requested items, other items that might fit users' requirements, AND
• general knowledge of tools and parts including use and simple repairs, AND
• knowledge of inventory and reporting methods.
