Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Covering the front desk by greeting guests, students, faculty & staff,
- Answering the phone, assisting with a variety of administrative tasks such as making copies and scans, proofreading, creating documents and spreadsheets for staff
- Delivering mail, keeping the kitchen and conference room clean, simple research projects for faculty, and maintaining inventories.
- Student assistants may also run errands on campus, and at times assist the Events Manager with set-up and clean up during your shift.
Qualifications
Must be available to work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30am – 1:30pm, and Tuesdays from 8:30am-4:30pm (Part time & temporary) from August 4 until August 22. Ending date and working hours can be flexible.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills. It is important to be comfortable greeting guests, operating the phone, and interacting with different faculty, staff, students and visitors. Being a self-starter and working independently at times is also requested. Candidates must be proficient using Microsoft Word and Excel and Google Docs.
