The Opportunity
Reporting into Engineering, we are currently seeking a talented Full-Stack Software Engineer or Generalist with 4+ years of professional experience building thoughtful and well designed products or internal tools. This person will have the unique opportunity to shape the future of ML tooling by incorporating your personal perspective on features and usability.

In this role, you will:

• Leverage your experience in backend and frontend related technologies to create high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code and APIs.

• Employ your understanding of developer tools to influence the development of user-centric features that address the needs and pain points of data scientists and engineers.

• Contribute to architectural decisions and participate in code and design reviews across various teams, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.

• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and bias towards making an impact and picking up work that needs to get done.

• Work as part of a team and feel most excited when given large and ambiguous problems to solve independently.

• You have experience with React, building modern, interactive web applications.

• You are proficient in TypeScript or JavaScript.

• You have experience building modern web applications, with attention to performance and scalability.

• You are familiar with front-end build tools such as Webpack or Vite.

• You have experience with AWS (required) and are familiar with other cloud platforms (preferred).

• You have experience with NodeJS (and optionally protobufjs) for server-side development and API integration.

• You have a strong foundation in data structures and algorithms, with a focus on profiling and performance optimization.

• Occasional travel to the U.S. is required. Potentially for extended durations.

About You:

• 4+ years of professional experience building software as a generalist working on both the frontend, and backend

• Prior experience with React and its core principles

• Experience with TypeScript or Javascript

• Experience with Python, Go, Java or another backend technology

• Knowledge of ML concepts and frameworks (eg. TensorFlow, Pytorch, Spark) is highly desired.

• Experience with AWS and/or NodeJS

• Familiarity with frontend build tools like Webpack and Vite, and understand how to optimize for performance and maintainability.

• Bring a solid foundation in data structures, and algorithms with a focus on performance tuning and optimization in both frontend and backend systems.

• A clear communicator who thrives in ambiguous environments, often stepping up to drive clarity and solutions when faced with open-ended challenges.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
