Technical Cofounder - AI Career Platform (Stealth Mode)

About the Venture

We’re partnering with a stealth-mode startup building a bilingual (Arabic/English) AI-powered career platform. This platform is designed to help individuals align their values, strengths, and ambitions through a proprietary career assessment engine, real-time coaching network, and intelligent career path recommendations.

The MVP is already built with a solid technical foundation, and we’re now looking for a technical cofounder to join on a part-time, hands-on basis.

Current Tech Foundation

• Multi-assessment engine
• AI integration: OpenAI and other similar APIs for career insight generation
• Firebase Auth for users + custom admin authentication
• Real-time dashboard for coaches and admins
• Coach application, verification, and session management modules
• Fully responsive bilingual UI (RTL/LTR switching)
• Email notifications via SendGrid

Tech Stack Overview

• Frontend: React 18, TypeScript, Tailwind, Framer Motion, Wouter
• Backend: Node.js, Express, Drizzle ORM, PostgreSQL (Neon)
• Infrastructure: Firebase Admin SDK, Serverless architecture
• Integrations: OpenAI, Firebase Auth, SendGrid, PayPal
• Tooling: Vite, ESBuild, end-to-end TypeScript config

Role Scope

• Join as part-time technical cofounder and own technical decision-making
• Collaborate with the founder to prioritize features and roadmap milestones
• Be hands-on with critical improvements, AI enhancements, and integrations
• Enhance performance, security, and scalability of the core platform
• Support future mobile optimization and integration with third-party tools (job boards, LMS, etc.)

• 5+ years of full-stack experience with React/Node.js

• Strong PostgreSQL skills and familiarity with modern ORMs (Drizzle preferred)
• Experience integrating third-party APIs (OpenAI, payment gateways, auth)
• Understanding of internationalization (i18n) and RTL UX
• Ability to work independently, make architectural decisions, and iterate fast
• Startup mindset — willing to build, learn, and adapt with limited resources

Near-Term Roadmap

• Launch coaching marketplace with session booking and PayPal integration
• Implement advanced AI-powered career path recommendations
• Optimize mobile experience for all assessments
• Build third-party API ecosystem
• Enhance real-time dashboard features for coaching and admin insights

• Equity: Up to 12%(+/-) based on experience, fit, and time commitment with possible accelerated vesting on major milestone
• No salary initially — sweat equity-based role
• Part-time commitment (10–20 hrs/week) with flexible hours
• Opportunity to grow into full-time CTO/cofounder as traction increases
• Remote-first, with optional strategy sessions and retreats
