Technical Lead, Backend Engineer
Skills
- Proficiency in Java and developing production-ready high-scale applications.
- Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, distributed systems, and microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding of API design and development including RESTful services, OAuth, JWT, and third-party integrations.
- Experience with Spring Boot, Elasticsearch, Docker, and message queues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance backend microservices using Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL databases, Elasticsearch, and message queues.
- Implement event-driven architectures for real-time communication across systems.
- Write and maintain automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Integrate with third-party systems to expand platform capabilities.
- Ensure reliability, security, and scalability considering compliance requirements such as HIPAA.
- Adapt to additional responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related STEM field (Master’s preferred).
