This is a 9-month non-tenure-track position with an additional 3-month summer appointment, running from June 1 to May 31, with a hybrid location-based work arrangement that allows flexibility between Tarleton’s Fort Worth and Stephenville campuses based on enrollment and program needs each semester.
The summer appointment is a 50% effort position with intermittent workdays following a predetermined schedule from June 1 to August 31. The 9-month appointment will be full-time, running from September 1 to May 31. Work hours for the 9-month appointment: Mon-Fri, 8 AM-5 PM or as work and teaching requirements indicate. May be required to teach at other campuses or online at the institution’s discretion. Must have the ability to work remotely at the request of the university in times of inclement weather or other special circumstances. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence and innovation in teaching, mentor undergraduate students, and participate in the necessary operation of the institution.

Summer Appointment involves training sessions focused on instructing educators in the implementation of the Tarleton Today curriculum.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and understanding of disciplinary subject matter at a level adequate for graduate-level instruction; written and oral communication skills sufficient to conduct effective teaching and research activities; ability to interact with students, staff, and faculty in a professional, collegial, and collaborative manner.
