What we want
Join the Texas A&M College of Nursing as a Research Assistant! In this role, you will provide skilled, administrative, and technical support in research for the College of Nursing. You will assist with phases in a research project and in preparing proposals for funding agencies, oversee operations of research equipment, and collaborate with other research personnel.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.
Schedule: This position may require work beyond normal business hours and/or work on weekends when needed.

Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with research
Experience with data analysis
Bachelor’s in a related field
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position
Knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment

Responsibilities
Research Support: Assists in the design, planning, and coordination of research in support of various research projects. Provides research project support to include data analysis and review, literature review, and reporting. Selects and applies standard techniques of routine research and keeps detailed record of data. Assists in the installation and operation of research equipment. May repair research equipment as needed. Uses and computers and laboratory or technical equipment to perform data analysis, statistical analysis and technical evaluation of research and results as needed. Evaluates and summarizes experiment results and data collection.
Research Administrative Duties: Assists senior staff and faculty members in conducting research initiatives and consults in developing procedures. Participates in project meetings. Reviews reports for research projects.
Research Publications: Assists in preparing and writing proposals to funding agencies; maintains financial accounts related to research projects. Assists with reports, invoices, and cataloging records.
Mentorship: Assists undergraduate and/or graduate students and other laboratory, technical or field staff involved in research.
