Investment Associate

JOB SUMMARY

As an Investment Associate at SoLa Impact, you will play a crucial role in the firm's mission to promote affordable housing in historically underserved communities. This position requires a combination of strong analytical skills and a passion for social impact. You will be responsible for conducting thorough financial analyses, performing due diligence, and developing insights that drive investment recommendations. Your contributions will empower our asset management and development teams to successfully execute their strategic goals.

Directly supporting our Investments team and our Founder and Co-Founder.

PAY RATE: $100,000-$115,000 PER YEAR

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

● Assist in the creation and distribution of investor reports and investment memoranda for SoLa's private equity funds.

● Develop and refine financial models to analyze asset performance and investment opportunities.

● Undertake due diligence on potential development sites, including financial and market evaluations.

● Collaborate with Senior Analysts in evaluating current projects, providing necessary insights on financial forecasts.

● Conduct thorough research on land use policy, financial markets, and construction trends to inform strategic investment decisions.

● Support the asset management team in assessing the performance of current portfolios and reporting to the Director of Asset Management.

● Foster relationships with stakeholders in the real estate sector to promote collaboration and joint venture opportunities.

● Assist in the development of presentations and reports for stakeholders, ensuring key insights are effectively communicated.

● Participate in team projects and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

● A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in investment analysis or a related field required.

● Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business, Urban Planning, or a related discipline.

● Strong understanding of real estate finance, investment principles, and market analysis.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

● Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and analysis.

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

● Attention to detail with strong organizational abilities.

● Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

● Strong quantitative skills and analytical thinking.
