Procurement Controls AssistantPosition Overview
This role provides tactical and administrative support to the Procurement Control Specialist and the Supplier Onboarding Specialist to help streamline procurement workflows and ensure data integrity. The Procurement Controls Assistant will contribute to the smooth execution of procurement operations, helping facilitate frictionless purchasing for business partners across Shaw facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Onboarding and Support
Assist with the onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring they meet company standards and requirements.
Help maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records.
Respond to routine supplier inquiries and escalate issues as needed to appropriate team members.
Procurement Data Entry and System Maintenance
Input and maintain Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) and Contract Purchase Agreements (CPAs) under the direction of Procurement Operations team members.
Create and update Smart Forms in Oracle Fusion and help troubleshoot basic input or configuration issues.
Assist in maintaining data accuracy and consistency across procurement systems.
Reporting and Process Support
Run and distribute standard procurement reports using tools like Excel or Oracle Fusion dashboards.
Participate in periodic audits of procurement data for accuracy and compliance.
Support continuous improvement initiatives through data validation and task tracking.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration or related field. HS Diploma and 5+ years of supply chain experience can be considered.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Basic knowledge of procurement systems and tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or administrative support roles.
Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion preferred) and/or supplier onboarding processes is a plus.
Exposure to AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) desirable but not required
