Job Summary

The ECM Data Specialist reports directly to the ECM Analytics Manager and serves as a key support role in advancing the organization's analytics capabilities across ECM and Clinical operations. This position focuses on the development, implementation, and maintenance of analytical tools and processes while providing critical support for data collection and reporting initiatives. The ECM Data Specialist will work from the San Diego Corporate office location, collaborating closely with the ECM Analytics Manager to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality analytics solutions that support operational excellence and compliance across all ECM locations.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, and tracking tools for ECM and Clinical teams
  • Create standardized templates and frameworks that can be deployed across multiple locations
  • Enhance existing analytics tools based on user feedback and evolving program requirements
  • Ensure all tools are user-friendly, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards
  • Test and validate new analytics solutions before deployment
  • Maintain version control and documentation for all developed tools
  • Collect, compile, and analyze data from various sources to support ECM Analytics Manager's reporting needs
  • Assist in generating regular performance reports and ad-hoc analyses as requested
  • Support data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy of all reporting
  • Maintain data repositories and ensure proper data governance practices
  • Coordinate with IT and other departments to facilitate data access and integration
  • Provide technical support to site teams using analytics tools
  • Support ECM Analytics Manager in fulfilling special reporting requests from leadership
  • Conduct detailed analysis for one-time studies or investigations as directed
  • Research and compile data for strategic initiatives and compliance audits
  • Assist in developing baseline metrics and benchmarking studies
  • Support implementation planning by analyzing site-specific requirements and constraints
  • Propose new and creative analytical solutions to enhance ECM Analytics Department capabilities
  • Research emerging analytics technologies and methodologies that could benefit the organization
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with ECM Analytics Manager to develop next-generation analytics solutions
  • Stay current with industry best practices and recommend process improvements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across ECM operations
  • Develop user guides, training materials, and documentation for analytics tools
  • Assist ECM Analytics Manager in preparing training content for site implementations
  • Provide remote technical support and troubleshooting assistance to site teams
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all processes and procedures
  • Support knowledge management initiatives within the Analytics Department

Education/Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems or relevant field of study
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday: 8:30 - 5:00pm

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
  • May require occasional travel between facilities
Pay range
$25$28 USD
