What's interesting about this job? 

The Development Operations and Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting electronic and personal relationships with PPSAT donors and donor prospects. This position provides oversight for the technical and operational requirements of gift entry and acknowledgement, and donor database management. This position also has a responsibility to develop professional relationships with donors, and work closely with the Director of Development Operations and Programs and Vice President for Development to maintain a strategic plan and calendar for all programs that fall under the Development Operations and Programs unit.

Position Details:

Full Time: 40 hours per week


Schedule:

Monday - Friday

9 AM - 5 PM


Hybrid with required 2 days in office


What You'll Do
  • Management of Raisers Edge donor base, including data integrity/health/clean up, data entry accuracy, coding, and analysis; provide support and training for development team members for development technology needs including donor database, donor and foundation research tools, online development data and document warehouse and all other Development Operations functions.
  • Work with DDOP to assure management/maintenance of all online donation mechanisms including non-event related Convio Donation Pages, MobilCause, and others as needed. Provide reports and analysis of all online giving efforts.
  • Work with the DDOP to manage annual giving programs for yearly renewals and special appeals for donors giving less than $1,000* per year including mail, online, and personal solicitations to generate increased investment from donors.  *Amount may vary by region.
  • Assist with creation, maintenance, and documentation for sustainer giving programs to maximize involvement and investment of these donor groups.
  • Work with DDOP and Donor Engagement Team to create and maintain operational tools, systems, and processes to enable quality management of events.
  • Work with the DevOps team to help plan and execute timely and accurate solicitations in collaboration with the DDOP and Director of Development Communications and Grants (DDCG).
  • Assist DDOP with evaluation of annual solicitations for effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement of messaging.
  • Work with colleagues to create and maintain donor recognition program, including named societies, donor thank you events, and singular recognitions as appropriate.
  • Work with DDOP on new individual donor acquisition programs; conduct research on individual and foundation donors as needed.
  • Assist with management of general (non-event) development content on social media to assure adherence to branding and affiliate voice.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams/departments, especially Education, Communications, and Public Affairs, on public awareness initiatives including website and social media.
  • Assist Vice President of Development (VPD) and DDOP with implementation of new initiatives that are based on donor analytics.
  • Assist VPD and DDOP with management of development systems infrastructure and allocation of resources and serve in support of regional programs including special events as necessary.
  • Provide assistance as needed to team members, especially the DDCG, who need financial/donor information for grant submissions; serve as a Development office contact point for donor questions and issues
  • Work with the DDOP to assure importing of PPOL/PPFA donor information, acknowledgment of these donors, and to provide Development Team members with reports on PPOL activity to ensure that all PPOL donors are included in both annual giving and major donor solicitation plans.
  • Work with the DDOP to manage and train Development Operations and Programs unit interns and volunteers; ensure coordination, effectiveness, efficiency of all departmental efforts and ensure that all efforts are donor-centered.
  • Serve as donor advocate in planning and execution of solicitations, events and other PPSAT activities
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by following through on tasks, taking initiative, working with the team and identifying solutions.
  • Adhere to affiliate policies and procedures including meetings and training requirements, ensuring punctuality and attendance, and following personnel policies.


What You Bring to the Role:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required. 
  • Minimum of four years experience in fundraising development. 
  • Demonstrated experience with Raiser’s Edge.
  • Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and personal skills and work well with all levels of staff and volunteers.
  • Must be able to work independently, as part of a team, and have strong team-building skills and ability to prioritize with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

Compensation:   

PPSAT's compensation philosophy is based on equity and transparency.  Each job at PPSAT is assigned a salary grade built on market data.  For an individual coming into PPSAT, we set a pay generally between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary grade based on candidate qualifications.  The pay range for this position is $23.47 to $27.23 per hour.
