Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced TrueSight Automation Developer to join our IT operations team supporting the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) program. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) and TrueSight automation development capable of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex automation solutions across our enterprise infrastructure.

Location:

• Hybrid — Must be located in either Alexandria, VA or Kearneysville, WV to support on-site requirements as needed.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

•  TSSA Development & Implementation
  • Architect and develop sophisticated automation work-flows using BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA) platform.
  • Create custom scripts and templates for provisioning, configuration, patch management, and compliance enforcement.
  • Implement automated vulnerability management and remediation processes, tightly integrated with security and change management systems.
  • Deliver end-to-end patching automation solutions with maintenance window scheduling and compliance tracking.
•  Enterprise Infrastructure Automation
  • Automate server life-cycle management from provisioning and configuration to decommissioning across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.
  • Develop scalable configuration management systems to enforce security and compliance standards (STIG, CIS, DISA, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, SOX).
  • Implement drift detection mechanisms and automated remediation solutions to ensure system integrity.
  • Design service provisioning automation work-flows from VM deployment to application stack readiness.
  • Integrate hybrid cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP, into enterprise automation strategies.
• Operations & Support
  • Provide Tier 3/4 technical support for the TSSA platform and all associated automation solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex automation failures, optimize job execution performance, and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain and enhance technical documentation to support sustainable operations.
  •  Monitor automation job execution and optimize performance.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 10 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 12 years’ experience.  
• Must have and active Secret clearance to be considered.
• MC TrueSight Server Automation certification.is required.
• ITIL certification or equivalent process knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with BMC TrueSight Server Automation (TSSA).
• Experience with BMC Helix Automation Console and other BMC products (Helix, Remedy, Patrol, etc.)
• Infrastructure expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Security certifications (Security+, CISSP, etc.)
• Automation script and template development, architecture and configuration.
• TSSA console administration and deployment scenario design.
• Hands-on management of large-scale server environments (500+ servers).
• Strong understanding of vitalization (VMware, Hyper-V) and hybrid cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Working knowledge of network infrastructure, security frameworks, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages.
• Expertise in automating Windows and Linux server environments.
• Experience with vitalization and container technologies (VMware, OpenShift).
• Solid background in automating compliance implementation.
• Experience with automating vulnerability management and automated remediation processes.

Target Salary Range

$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
