PCS Software, Inc. is seeking a motivated and curious Junior Full-Stack Developer to join our Software Engineering team and help support the infrastructure behind our cutting-edge AI agents. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to get hands-on experience with modern AI tooling, observability systems, and full-stack development using Python and React.  You will work alongside senior developers to build, maintain, and extend internal tools and dashboards that power AI telemetry, agent observability, and system performance tracking.

ResponsibilitiesInitial Ramp-Up (First 4–6 Weeks)

• Set up your local development environment with tools like Docker, VS Code, and GitHub
• Read documentation and design overviews for key internal systems.
• Learn how our Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) agents work with LangChain, ChromaDB, and Ollama

Hands-On Contributions

• Make small frontend or API-level contributions to the Agent Logger Dashboard
• Participate in code reviews and standups to understand our dev workflows
• Debug and observe the full telemetry flow: from agent logs ? ingestion ? dashboard

Mid-Term Deliverables (Weeks 5–6 and beyond)

• Implement independent features (e.g. pagination, filtering, log export, authentication)
• Collaborate with the AI team to surface key metrics and enhance observability
• Contribute to the quality and structure of FastAPI-based OpenAPI docs
• Define personal growth goals with mentorship support from senior team members

Requirements

 Experience is Required Using The Following Tools & Technologies

• Backend: Python 3.11+, FastAPI, Pydantic, PostgreSQL
• Frontend: React (Vite), Tailwind CSS
• DevOps: Docker, Docker Compose, GitHub
• AI Frameworks: Ollama, Open WebUI, ChromaDB, LangChain
• Observability: Custom telemetry pipelines, structured JSON logging
• Collaboration: Slack, GitHub, Teams/Zoom

Qualifications To Be Successful in This Position Include:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (required)
• Familiarity with modern web development (React, APIs, Docker) – internships or projects count
• Eagerness to learn new technologies related to AI and observability
• Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Candidates must be local to the Houston, Texas metro area and able to commute reliabiliy to the PCS Houston office 3-days a week.
