Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Systems Engineer to join our team! In this role you will support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Medium Range Targets program office. Your work will cover multiple programs developing the next generation of reentry vehicles, rocket motors, and counter measures in support of creating realistic test environments for the nation’s missile defense systems.
What You'll Be Doing:
Providing technical and engineering analysis for MDA flight requirements products to ensure accuracy, decomposition, and integration are complete
Participate in system requirements reviews and creating and/or updating requirement specifications and technical documentation
Supporting requirements development and functional allocation to hardware, software, operator and other segments and components of the system
Providing review and analysis of engineering designs, requirements, and program status
Coordinating multi-domain reviews of design artifacts submitted in support of critical program reviews
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Active Secret Clearance and ability to maintain one
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and 3+ years of experience
Ability to apply Engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems
Experience writing, presenting, and coordinating product and engineering plans, policies, and procedures
Understanding system interface requirements and requirements management
Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and produce and present clear, concise, well-organized, and audience-relevant presentations and documents.
Reviewing system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs and are accurate
Works Independently, as a team member, or leading teams/tasks
Experience working in a configuration-controlled environment and ensuring proper levels of handling are applied to items
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
MDA experience and familiarity with the Missile Defense System
Familiarity with MDA flight test targets and threats
Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools
