The mission of the Information Technology Group (ITG) is to develop, implement and maintain technology-based services and solutions enabling OHSU to effectively manage information to accomplish its missions.
The web developer is part of Digital Strategy: a small, cohesive team of analysts, web engineers, customer support experts, and strategists who support OHSU’s web presence. Digital Strategy is responsible for two primary web experiences: the www.ohsu.edu public website and an internet. Digital Strategy creates and maintains a collection of content management systems, custom applications, and third-party integrations.
The senior web developer is responsible for advanced web development and maintenance. This work includes front-end development for new applications, maintenance and improvement of existing code, data integration with legacy systems, and extension of existing platforms. The web developer often works with analysts and project managers to ensure technology solutions meet business needs and are prioritized and scheduled appropriately. The web developer also collaborates with other developers and web engineers to continually improve the web infrastructure. The web developer plays an important role in Digital Strategy’s quality assurance process by writing and validating QA plans and doing testing.
